My favorite Twitter feature is the one where if you reply to a DM once when your DMs are open, that person can just DM you forever. Of all the bizarre messages I get, "I love you Miss Adler, you must speak up for Julian Assange" might be the strangest.

People who don't deal with these things love to say "just block them" because they don't understand that blocking them usually provokes them and escalates the situation. I finally blocked a dude who was sending me weird threats for months and then he went MEGA nuclear.

I get that it's funny to many of you but it's extremely not funny to me to monitor the people who send unhinged DMs and tweets to see if they're escalating. It sucks!

Yes I know what the mute button is. I’m never tweeting about the weird and concerning creeps again.
