if you took even the most cursory glance at the history of anti-communist/anti-leftist movements in the 20th and 21st centuries you’d know just how asinine the claim is that China is equally threatening to left-wing movements.

Countless millions have been murdered on the orders of the US. Dozens of nations have had their democratically elected governments overthrown by US-backed right wing terrorists. Hundreds of thousands of civilians slaughtered for no reason other than securing capitalism.

You have the nerve to claim that the PRC is equal in its past and future to the US?? All you get by saying that is obfuscating the depths of depravity and darkness that US foreign policy has reached. Those claims are by definition US war crime apologia.

By comparing two totally incomparable things, you distort the reality of the situation. When you distort the reality of US interventionism, you cover up for them. Is that the bill you want to die on as a supposed leftist/communist?

This is not to say we should not critique China’s foreign policy. That we can’t claim they are making grave mistakes or even doing wrong things. But to equate them to the US is grossly dishonest and deliberately anti-communist.
