I used to be a believer in respectability politics until I witnessed first hand how it doesn’t work. I did all the things people said I should do; vote, sign petitions, write to my local elected officials, give public comment at city hall, call offices. 1/

And still it resulted in nothing. That is why I do what I do. It may seem “radical” for some but for me and many others it is a form of survival. We must continue to help each other, mobilize, create community partnerships, and most importantly get these failures out of office.

We have short term responsibilities as well as long term.

This is the time for change!
