Personal Thread: This person and everyone around him is a monster. Humans who are good people do not do this. It’s not “well that’s 2020! Go viral!” No. It’s the behavior of monsters. Evil. I have been a bystander in a perilous position. Here’s that story. https://twitter.com/breaking911/status/1305268731556364288
I was broke. Took a road home that added 30 minutes to the drive because I couldn’t afford tolls. Twice something like this has happened while I took that road. I’ll never take it again. There I was, driving along when around a blind turn ahead I see black smoke. In my head
I figured it was just a fire somewhere. As I rounded the turn at 65+mph (speed limit is 65) I saw a car on the left shoulder perpendicular to the road. There were no first responders. This just happened. Other cars were whipping by. I immediately got in the shoulder and
without screeching my tires came to a stop about 100 yards from the scene. I wasn’t thinking. At all. I was acting. There was no minute of pause. No reflection. Just instinct. As I exited my car I pulled out my phone and began sprinting. While running I called 911.
I noted the mile markers and explained the situation to the operator as I closed to 20 yards, with the flames growing. Once I relayed the info I hung up and pocketed the phone. I didn’t wait for further instruction. I didn’t start filming.
What I saw as I approached was a man slumped over the steering wheel unconscious. I also saw growing flames under the vehicle. Everything else vanished. It was me, that man, the flames and the car. As soon as I got close I began punching windows since the doors were locked
When that failed I began shouldering and elbowing windows. When that failed I jumped on the trunk and started jumping on the rear window. When that failed I heard someone yell “HEY!” I turned and saw a man who had stopped. He had a truck with an open bed in tow with
contractor equipment. He handed me a handtruck. I slammed it down on the rear window and it bounced off and flew over my shoulder. Then I heard another man yell “HEY, GET DOWN.” That man ran up to the rear driver window and tapped the glass with a ball peen hammer and it
shattered. Once again, everything else in the world vanished. I reached in, unlocked the front door, unbuckled the man’s seat belt, put my arms under his shoulders and dragged him 20 yards from the car. I then sat there with him cupping the sides of his head with the palms
of my hands in a neck brace until EMS and police arrived and took over. The police asked me if I saw the accident. I said no, I just arrived on scene and helped. I asked if he needed a statement. He said no, thanked me and went about his business. I then walked to my car
and looked over my shoulder once to see the car completely engulfed in flames. Got in my car and drove home. I’ve told 3 people this story my whole life. The people in the video on the original post are monsters. The man filming chose to use his phone for likes.
No one ran to aid the humans in the car who had been shot. The thought likely never even crossed their minds. Monsters. (End)
