Sigh. Okay, so we’re doing this?
1.) FBI hate crime data is notoriously a bad estimate of actual hate crimes because this data comes from local police enforcement who self report this data. Here’s a good piece that goes into detail. https://www.propublica.org/article/why-america-fails-at-gathering-hate-crime-statistics https://twitter.com/paulkrugman/status/1305234617952337929

Hence, your point is already weak AF just based off the data you’re using.
2.) Let’s say this data is actually a good measure of reality.
The pervasiveness of anti-Black hate crimes does not negate hate crimes against Muslims. This does nothing for your original argument.

3.) This one will blow your mind, buckle up!
You can be both Black and Muslim! This one is hard for a lot of folks. And I’m using Black, as in the diaspora and Black, as in African American.

4.) What he tried to do by pitting Black Americans against Muslim-Americans is in the same vein as what Trump and co have tried to do for the past few years. Go watch that NYCHA video. Trying to pit Black Americans against immigrants and refugees. Eww.
I don’t know what it’s like to have a ton of people dunking on me b/c of a bad tweet, but I would hope I would take the criticism and learn from it. Besides the ton of tweets telling you that this was revisionist. So many people shared some really traumatic personal experiences..
To discount all that and come back with an even worse take to justify your original bad take—caucacity really knows no bounds.
