Every person should read for herself and try to understand why this text proclaims to be a timeless guidance for created beings. See if the claim actually holds up. Just believing in its authenticity or miraculous nature or the host of scholars does nothing for me individually. https://twitter.com/neuromaliki/status/1305118207120998402">https://twitter.com/neuromali...
The text’s self-proclamation is that it can speak to every human being wherever and whenever. It says “I’m from your Maker and I can answer questions you might have about your existence.” This is a personal issue for everyone who is concerned with such existential questions—
It literally does not matter one bit if some super genius scholar or a thousand of them wrote down their own interpretation(s) of the text. I can read their interpretations, I can even memorize them — but if I can’t think and decide for myself, what’s the point?
I think the original tweet is a great question personally. Often people say “oh you think you can add something to 1400 years of tradition” and it’s like... yes. I do think that.
Because even though the human condition has reliable trends that hold up across centuries — each human being’s existence is still a microcosm in itself. It’s absurd to imply that as the world changes, the way we understand the world will or should stay static.
