One thing I see being in Ohio is just how far the country still does have to go, and just how damaging Fox News and FB have been

Yes, the people interviewed likely believe everything they see on FN and FB

Yes, they think his lies are truth bc of FN and FB

Yes, they believe Q https://twitter.com/MattGarrahan/status/1305052220325584896
What's more, there are more than a fair number of folks who, for whatever reason, cannot distance themselves from Trump

My plain view is simple cognitive dissonance and the inability to admit a mistake in '16 so doubling down in '20.
These combine for a very weird effect in a state ravaged by under-education and unequal modern eco workforce. Many people find themselves in a FN/FB death spiral of lies & they cannot pull themselves out. And bc they are surrounded by similarly (mis)informed folks, it perpetuates
Ohio the cities are super blue, educated, growing and doing well economically.

Ohio the rural areas are super red, under-educated, lagging behind, and continue to massively struggle.

The red are literal ground zero for FN and FB messages. They are the core audience
The challenge is that many interviewed *do* believe the lies. They think all the lies are *what actually happened*. It's terrifying.

What they don't know is that while they may be voting against their best interests, others will vote for Biden so *they* can have it better
And this is what I think about every time I vote

I know politics f*cking suck. Politicians lie & we distrust most

And still, I am voting for a better future for everyone as much as possible

And that means voting *for* Biden for the people who actually vote for Trump. Irony
