since some people obviously need it i& #39;m going to make a thread of microaggressions and fatphobic comments i keep seeing on my tl so people can actually learn. this is coming from someone who& #39;s been bullied and fatshamed for years.

- using "skinny" as a compliment and "fat" as an insult
- "they& #39;re a skinny legend", "the ratio is so skinny" etc
- saying fat people are "brave" and "confident" for simply posting content of themselves on social media

- avoiding using the word "fat" and replacing it with "chubby" etc when it& #39;s literally only a descriptive word (unless the person themself expresses discomfort w it)
- saying you are or that you look "fat" when you aren& #39;t even overweight

- assuming every fat person is lazy and being surprised or overly supportive when you see a fat person being physically active
- for example calling fat people who do dance covers "inspiring", "strong" etc
