I can’t help but to wonder the feelings of the man in Gladys Knight’s Midnight Train to Georgia (Issa thread)
Gladys is clearly gossiping. Telling all her mans business. “LA grew too much for the man” this is a sad story about a man that moved across the country it didn’t work out and now he has to go back home.
Then the Pips are in the background “He didn’t make it” at that point they would have to square up. If my life didn’t work out how I planned don’t harmonize my demise.
Now they are talking about the mans dreams...and the Pips are still brining the hate, “dreams don’t always come true uh-uh no uh-uh”
As a man saying Uh-uh is another level of disrespect. If you block my shot and then say uh-uh then we have to fight.
Now it’s another level of down when you go to the Pawn shop with your hopes. You know you are not going to get equal value
Why the hell are you Woo Hooing when this man is down to his last dollar. If dude catches a Pip alone it’s on.
Now you gonna Woo Hoo at me selling my car? Let me find out y’all are in Atlanta it’s on and popping.
Gladys is a rider she said she is going with dude back to Georgia, but the Pips are roasting the whole time.
You gonna make the train noise? You can tell the Pips play too much.
If I don’t make it and have to move back to Atlanta. Don’t ever play this song because this would inspire me to scrap way further than any Knuck if you Buck.
Gladys friends are trifling and that’s why she probably didn’t tell them until 11:15
