In today's edition of Shady Indian Startups, we bring you @hire_sure https://www.hiresure.ai/ They are not a regular "hire/HR tech" company.
HireSure will take unsuspecting candidates' data (their salaries, offers, joining/leaving dates) and sell this information to other companise, all unknown to the candidate.
HireSure will ensure that a candidate is can be hired at minimum possible cost to the company, widening the power imbalance in an already lopsided transaction.
HireSure will make a "naughty" list so that companies can "punlish" anyone who "dares" to leave for better options, or because their workplace was toxic.
Quite Ironic though, because for joining any company, someone will have to leave some other company.
To top this, their privacy policies are ridiculous level weirdly vague. They read like a generic statement where they will need to store/modify data just so they can share info with the company whom the candidate intended to share with, instead of spelling out their real agenda
If you are a startup using HireSure, you are sure to be on my blocklist, and should be on blocklists for all others (many of whom wouldn't have a choice unfortunately, because they have to accept your offer to feed their family)
Founders of many startups will go on record at every conference and LinkedIn, singing their tune of "data privacy laws" and "employees are family" etc and then use these shady companies like HireSure to surveil and punish their employees.
Look how you can make sure your employees will tow your line and remain with your toxic company, because unless they do, you can bitch to HireSure about them.
If you ever have to accept an offer via HireSure, you are not just getting into a contract with the company where you are getting hired "now", but you give up your information to be shared with any other company you may approach later on.
