A thread!

As we move into stage 3+ of regional lockdown I must say the overwhelming response from my members is applause for the Victorian govt and @DanielAndrewsMP.

Regional numbers are pretty much gone and my workmates who have worked through

are happy where we stand and glad of the hard work of Victorians to suppress this virus.

Amazing results considering the opposition and their media allies onslaught attempting to undermine the health directives.

Most are genuinely dismayed at the behaviour of the Vic libs and

prime minister.

Most have now witnessed media bias in presses and are disgusted at what they have seen.

I think the libs and media have played this one wrong. Victorians have come together, whilst they attempted to divide.

My members are also thankful for the leadership shown

by @MicheleONeilAU, @sallymcmanus and the @unionsaustralia crew. Members know without union campaigning there isn't a wage subsidy or pandemic pay in Vic.

Members were as I was amazed at the response from @VicUnions to the tower lockdown. Well done @lhilakari and those involved.

And members are energized by the local leadership of @BrettEdgington and the BRTLC crew.

I am very proud of my union @theamwu. Especially the food industry leadership. We know food manufacturing and dispatch are particularly at risk to this virus, collectively we have organised and won a safety net for food workers.

Let us never forget that workers get us through crisis.

I'm especially proud of my shop committee who fight everyday for our members. Even with the obstacles covid has thrown at us.

And of course I am very proud to make food for Australian families. My workmates and I add

value to the best raw product in the world.

My hope is all Australians will remember us when the pandemic passes.
