everything Islam forbids is for a reason,

Zina is haram; relationships outside of marriage. "Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils)." Zina increases the chance of unwanted pregnancies and (when within marriage/adultery) tears families apart.

Drinking alcohol is haram. It makes one forget, clouds their thoughts/ judgments. Drinking also results to crime, such as; robbery, sexual assault, child abuse, homicide, etc.

Homosexuality is haram. Think about the story of Prophet Lut, he was sent to guide a group of people. He warned them of the punishment of homosexuality but they did not listen, they were punished. Allah made a man for a woman so they will be able to bring children into this world

Anything that is haram is haram for a reason, and saying something is haram when it isn't, is forbidden. Allah is the most merciful so he would not make unnecessary actions haram, everything he does, he does for a reason. This dunya is nothing but a test.
