it's funny because couples with labels seem to be just as capable of dishonesty, distrust, neglect, and infidelity

your problem isn't a label, it's a lack of open, clear, and honest communication with your partners https://twitter.com/valvestil/status/1304726475979988992
who cares what you call it when you're able to speak freely about your feelings for one another while agreeing on boundaries without trying to constantly fit yourselves into these pre-set relationship "rules" (oh we're under X label, so we have to be like THIS)
just be honest with each other every step of the way and set boundaries that work best for both of you

if you want a label, then go for it. if not, then okay as long as you aren't hurting one another! labels won't magically make people accountable for dishonesty or distrust
and also if the piece of sweeping relationship advice you read off some social media stranger isn't as simple as "be honest and open with your partner at all times and don't be an asshole", ur better off going to friends or a professional for help
