Sometimes I wonder, with all of the politization of #COVID19, how far will this reach into the future. Will certain patient's distrust apply to other diseases? It's really been hard to see people questioning the political motives of their doctors over the last 7 months (1/6)
(2/6) How far does this extend? Will people respect their doctors if they quote Lancet or NEJM or JAMA because, in their first Google or Facebook exposure to these incredible magazines, they now see them as biased because of their #COVID19 publications? Will medical studies from
(3/6) "Liberal" institutions be seen as propaganda? Even the concept of "peer reviewed" has been trampled on over the politization of a virus. Will #COVID19 end with people still believing it was never a real threat? On the flip side, will people ever have faith in
(4/6) The CDC, HHS, and FDA again? Medicine in the US has been exposed in many ways over the past months and its being used in ways that threaten its purity. Yet, hundreds of thousands of medical workers still go to work every day and risk their health and
(5/6) the health of their families. I challenge everyone who sees this to seek someone they know in the medical field and ask them about their opinion of the future of medicine after #COVID19 and feel free to pass this on and comment as I would love to hear
(6/6) the opinions of people out there on how they see medicine and trust in medicine going forward. #MedTwitter
