i can't remember if i talked about this on here yet but teaching a class over the summer *that i designed* was worth < $6k to the university when my students collectively paid the university ~$22k to take that class

so like the university now has another class they can offer *that they basically got for free cause i was not paid to make it* and i brought in about as much money to the school as i get paid in a year in i'll say ~ 2 months of work

"but you got a good CV line"

fam, who the hell knows when or if that CV line will ever be useful

and "you might benefit more later" is not a reason to treat people like garbage
