give me your best recs pls for indie alternatives to amazon? example: I like http://nuts.com  for bulk foods because:

-fast shipping (faster than amazon tbh)
-low prices
-FAMILY OWNED
-amusing name

drop your faves here, let's reroute some $ away from bezos's dumbass face
tangentially: the thing i was most pleasantly surprised to learn upon opening an etsy shop way back in holy shit 2011 is how many etsy sellers are extremely open to barter, which is objectively more fun than paying boring cash, boringly
places that are not amazon for gardening stuff:

http://seedsavers.org
http://johnnyseeds.com
http://hudsonvalleyseed.com
http://kitazawaseed.com
http://onegreenworld.com
http://starkbros.com
etsy/ebay (obviously bigger, but you're supporting fellow gardeners much of the time)
places that are not amazon for board/tabletop gaming stuff:

http://miniaturemarket.com
http://coolstuffinc.com
http://thrivemarket.com  has whole foods-type brands but isn't owned by bezos's evil ass

you have to buy a membership but it's easy to split one with family/friends, & when you get a membership they give a membership to a low-income family/student/1st responder/teacher/veteran
http://asianfoodgrocer.com  is exactly what it sounds like and has amazing prices and, i repeat, is not owned by an asshole named bezos
i've been getting hard-to-find stuff from http://veganessentials.com  since i was a teenager, another excellent online place with fast shipping that does not rhyme with "shmamazon"
i'm sure i'll think of more to add later, but in the meantime pls keep adding recs for online shopping that supports indies and not evil billionaires!

this kind of thing is why i wish i had a bigger platform on here -- PLEASE rt so others can learn about the cool indies you rec!
OH HEY one more objectively-better-than-amazon rec I somehow forgot about: http://rainbowresource.com  for all your homeschool needs (and just cool stuff in general, lots of board games, arts/crafts, etc). better prices than that big place owned by that asshole billionaire anyway!
