I find Guts’s struggles against destiny to be fascinating.
He has gone through hell physically and mentally several times since he was a child. We especially know that bc we accompanied him from the moment he was born until he became the man that everyone knows today .-

He struggled to come into this world . His destiny was to die in his mother's womb but .
HE CAME INTO EXISTENCE.

Guts had a tribble childhood and he was betrayed a lot of times , once by the man he considered a father and once by his closest friend . Most of his loved ones were killed in front of his eyes in Horrible ways. -

He was desperate to save anyone to the degree that he cut off his arm to save Caska from getting raped but he was pinned to the ground while trying to . He lost one of his eyes and the last thing that he saw was Casca getting raped by the man he once considered a friend.

After that he was on an endless journey for revenge. That led him to a never ending cycle of violence .That he acknowledges after being in it for years. This cycle wore him out physically and mentally.-

When I look at his face I see a man who is tired from his endless battles for revenge . Seeing him in this state is really disheartening.

He was marked for death . The whole world was and still against him but amongst all of this hopelessness and
despair he walks forward.
