medj rule of thumb. if you're paying for any >25mbps plan, it's advisable not to use the stock router. they're shitty af. (applicable to both PLDT and Globe) https://twitter.com/nickoybeto/status/1304678928439603201
Applies to PLDT and Globe kasi the modem/router combo in the photo is the same as ours kahit PLDT kami.
Also, if you're going to use another router, ask for your modem to be put into bridge mode.

Putting the stock modem to bridge mode will allow your new router to do its job better. And this is also helpful if you're playing online games since mababawasan yung number of hops.
Additional note pala. DON'T FORGET TO TURN OFF YOUR STOCK ROUTER'S WIFI NETWORK pag nagkabit kayo ng new router. This will cause interference. :))
Isa pa. Uhm. Kung mabilis internet nyo, wag kayong magtipid sa router pls. Baka internet nyo 50mbps pero router na binili mo 1k lang. Besh, for sure, that's not good enough. You may get worse speeds after "upgrading" your stock router.
