Gender war is women being raped everyday.

Gender war is depriving women of inheritance just because they are women.

Gender war is women being killed by their husbands and boyfriends everyday.
Gender war is fathers killing their daughters in the name of honour killing.

Gender war is burning the Edo woman in her home because of politics.

Gender war is looking at women and assuming their slept their way to the position they occupy.
Gender war is women not able to walk alone at night or a lonely path without being scared of a man raping them.

Gender war is going to the markets and men grope us and insult us when we don't entertain them.

Gender war is lecturers sexually harassing us in their offices.
Gender war is stripping women because of their clothes.

Gender war is being blamed and judged when we are raped, battered and abused.

Gender war is demonizing a single mum who by all means has shown responsibility by taking care of her children.
Gender war is that pastor praying for barren women without praying for impotent men. Infertility isn't only a woman's problem.

Gender war is taking all the property of a woman once the husband dies.
Gender war is trying to find loopholes in every story women tell about their abuse just to discard it as lies.

Gender war is your pastors talking about submission to women as if it is the only thing that break marriages.
Gender war is asking that woman to sleep with you for asking you for a thousand naira to buy drugs for her child.

Gender war is shut shaming a woman because you lost in an argument.

Talking about our troubles isn't gender wars. The war is living as a woman everyday.
Gender war isn't us saying what we go through in the hands of men. The war is the fear we live in and with. The energy you use to say "not all men. This is a gender war", use it to talk to your fellow men.
Don't come here and say men suffer the same. In what number please?
This isn't invalidating what few men go through. This is telling you not to always derail topics when women talk about their issues.

The banter here is not gender war. Don't be too sensitive about a banter than the actual problem.
