Speaking of Black neighbors - a new Black family moved on our block 2 houses down. They came over to introduce themselves and let us know they have an autistic son and asked that we not call the police if he is acting erratic but rather come knock on their door.

We were of course a very soft landing for that conversation but I wonder how it went with the other neighbors. Imma ask the Mom next time I see her.

They also have a little girl around age 4. She saw me today and her face just went wide with wonder because of my hair. I love Charlotte.

I have a copy of @VashtiHarrison Little Leaders Bold Women in Black History - I'm going to drop it off for the little girl tomorrow. We were rushing to pick up my family & I couldn't properly introduce myself to her today.
