if u notice throughout the whole sequences of their interrogation, it usually taeeul who took the control. and now he slightly stole the wheel. you could feel how she slowly losing her temper suddenly turned as he said he has her photos from future

if you're still confused, how she controlled the whole situation, this scene below speak a lot. in this situation she didn't give what he wanted. this treatment actually used in interrogation reality. If we give what the suspects want, it mean they're in control of the situation

and yes, she's completely losing the hold of conversation at this sequences. look at her subtle 'flustered but didn't want to admit it' face.

bold of u to assume that the proof is Lee Gon but not for me. this is a subtle hint for shinjae in my opinion. YES THE PROOF ALWAYS BEEN THERE IN FRONT OF HER. after so much rewatches while waiting the next episode to come, this line hit me like a truck for shinjae

and now she slowly grasped the conversation back! we stan a detective! and another subtle acting from lee minho! when she asked why he look at her that way, he was a bit flustered as he thought he might be doing something wrong but yesh ahahahah

this is another wordplay.

AND SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS PROVERB bcs idk what this actually means:( but from what I get is, "a high-class horse will take the leaps, while a soft horse will turn away the wrath" which means if you have a horse, you must be living a good life (BUT PLS DO CORRECT ME)

she's actually said "am I looking like food is crossing my mind right now?" which actually quite the same with "am I looking like I have an appetite right now?" with an annoyed tone.

what I learnt from taeeul is, she is a quick learner. she didn't let her past mistakes happened twice. rmb when I said she always took the wheel of their convos, and lost it when he said he knew her? now she didn't even let him get a space

I can't let this scene passed thru. this sequence is really deep. he has never seen anyone fix her hair in front of him. everything has to be 101% ready and perfect in front of him. this kind of unpretentious acts and mundane things are new to his view. don't let this sink!

at first I didn't get the jokes from this scene but after 2nd time, now I know. he never eaten something that hasn't been tasted but he ate a sample food. and when he said he want to buy it, he want the sample one, since people has been tasting it. stan smart Lee Gon!

he has taste the power of money as he was born as a royal blood. so, basically if he looks only for money, it wasn't challenging enough for him. he just want the power, something that he has been thirsty of, yet he can't get it due to his illegitimate status.

this scene reminds me of the coup. how he could change Gon's sadness into anger. and he did the same to the mom as well. and the pattern is the same. he stated the actual fact, and give a devilish option. simple, but strong accent of him. jump to this scene. as a police instinct, an unsolved question is a big distraction to your sleep. so when the team leader said "we only need to find the weapon" means we're almost done. but taeeul gave out a new unsolved question so they're basically won't sleep well

coming back to the 1st episode details when I said Lee Gon is always alone, this is what I mean. there was an unusual hunch from him, that he knew at least, I have a friend (taeeul and his savior) so he was less lonely as a normal human being, not as a king.

I really like her silent acting at this scene. 'yes talk as much as you want but I won't believe any words of it'. she is a trained interrogator, this is her, doing subtle emotional pressure to make him annoyed and confessed his doing. (but he's used to work under pressures lol)

the dialogue on this scene was pointing about something magical. "even in that night, a baby is born", this is also pointing the blessing in disguise of that coup night. if the coup didn't occur, will he knew taeeul, will he knew another au were exist somewhere?

deep down she wanted to believe him. she has done so many interrogation tricks to him yet he is still persistent abt his existence. her instinct told her that he's telling the truth, but as her logic stopped her to do so

I LOVE THIS SCENE SO MUCH. the contrast between jo yeong's angle pov, and the kid's. from joyeong's pov we see an unstable emotion, his 5 senses suddenly activate and slowly became stable as his breath start to calm. and the camerawork did the job for that

his email basically said jo_0 @ kingdom. go. kr (zero pronounces as yeong in korean). he is actually a very ordinary person but needs to live his life as complicated as it is (he's a royal guard, after all!)

at this scene, I thought Lady Noh would be angry to hear the King being irresponsible towards his duty as a King, but it seems the ancestral thing worries her the most. and your talisman might be also effecting to Jo Yeong as well, Madam!

to think that a King, who is the 'owner' of a country, he used to play it with charisma but here, he's being a child. as everyone will put him above everything, his status is equal as everybody else in here. that's why he looks more 'live' in expression, than in KoC

this is interesting. some ppl still see their differences as a coffee shop owner and a civil servant but it is has depth. nari is a free-soul. she owns the whole share so she has the freedom. while seungah needs to work as the protocol said. she's living a strict work life.

Lee Gon always seems so composed by her snarky remarks, but this is the first time he rolled his eyes. but the details, he shouldn't be rolling his eyes when he heard that name, so, leonardo di caprio is exist in his world? (or he probably watched his movie tho hahah)

if you think more abt it, he never has that real family of what Taeeul means. his mom is gone, his dad is murdered by his uncle who led a coup. and the only things he get from "family" is just a family like the needs of the successor the throne. this is sad, actually.

now, she knew if he's moving forward, he's gonna do something that will annoys her. (well, their first encounter told so. their first dinner scene end when he moved towards her). and basically, that expression is her preparing, to listen to his bs

and now, she's completely lost her patience, by calling him a complete crazy guy. I think this scene speaks a lot as how you will see gradually their story evolved. at early times u'll see him approaching, but later on, she'll reciprocated his feelings. AND THAT'S IT FOR EPS 2!
