A lot of issues were coming around regarding the effectiveness of sharing genie links and here I am to clarify.

Right after MX' promotion another fanbase has conducted a study regarding this using a very idle MX song, and after the simulation they have concluded that the process +

+(if done properly) is effective and indeed increases song stream count.

I don't know how this rumors been circling around so I asked other friends from other fandoms who had been doing the same strategy for their group's comeback and one said that they know someone working +

+in the music industry said that it is counted and why wouldn't it be?

+So to strengthen my claim - that it is effective I compared all songs' information from Wonho's album.

You can see the big difference in the number of accounts streaming the songs. Also, consider that stans who purchased passes will listen to the full album atleast once, +

+The number of listeners are close and still far from the figures of the title track of which we are sharing.

For the reason that playbacks do not reflect on your account when you stream using genie links:+

+Yes, it will not be reflected on your playback count since you are streaming it for free.

I'd like to share my own playback count, I've been streaming Open Mind once every hour but you see my account only reflects one playback since I've tested the coupon first before using +

+the link, (see Open Mind chart info attached earlier)

Lastly, and the most basic reason it should be counted is that we bought these tickets. That every stream is paid, not by the third party but the one who shared it (me). Free platform counts, why paid ones won't? +

PS. About charting... if you want to chart get atleast 3.5-4k per account streams per hour (depending on opponent's stream too). Small but hardworking fandoms usually chart at night+

+because fans stream non-stop while GP is asleep.
