I know I go on about it a lot.

But it feels like I'm living in New vs Old Power case study at the moment.
Old power works like a currency. It is held by few. Once gained, it is jealously guarded, and the powerful have a substantial store of it to spend. It is closed, inaccessible, and leader-driven. It downloads, and it captures.
New power operates differently, like a current. It is made by many. It is open, participatory, and peer-driven. It uploads, and it distributes. Like water or electricity, it’s most forceful when it surges. The goal with new power is not to hoard it but to channel it.
I know how I want to operate.
Saul Alinsky, who is good at this said...

'First rule of change is controversy. You can't get away from it for the simple reason all issues are controversial. Change means movement, and movement means friction, and friction means heat, and heat means controversy.'
My view. FWIW.

Know where you wanna be.
Keep moving forward.
Evolve as the world evolves.
Make good connections.
Share power.
Elevate others.
Don't be a dick.

Rules I try hard to live by.
