What if I told you

That within Ethos, Pathos and Logos

Lies two “Secret Chambers”

Of Persuasion & Rhetoric

—Thread—
Last week I posted a thread about the The Rhetorical Triangle

AKA Aristotle’s Modes Of Persuasion

If you missed it

You can check it out here https://twitter.com/TyTweed/status/1300877198811738112
There are two more pieces to this puzzle of persuasion

Lesser known, but equally important

1. Telos

2. Kairos
Telos: The purpose, intention or end goal

“The two best rules for a system of rhetoric are: first, have something to say; and next, say it.”

– George Emmons

When it comes to marketing:

Having a clear idea of what you’re trying to get across

And what you want to achieve
I don’t have any pictures of ads for this example, but

My “Telos” of this thread, is for you to have a better understanding

Of these modes of persuasion & The Rhetorical Triangle
Kairos: Timeliness

A specific situation or moment

The right place, at the right time
A perfect example of Kairos:

A Pampers commercial that aired during The 2019 Super Bowl

Featured Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, changing diapers

Maroon 5 played during half time at that exact same Super Bowl

Perfect Timing Indeed
Learning about, and understanding all 5 of these

Will take your marketing game to new heights

The amount of ancient knowledge that is still relevant today is incredible.
That’s all for now fam, thank you for reading!
