10th September 2020. 8:00am. Tiyan Alile never send e-mail, send whatsapp message, send sms or send my money sha.

One hour after & my N125k or N150k March salary still never show.

I don’t even want to go into the fact that my Employment Letter says my Gross Renumeration or Monthly Salary was N174,733.00

I’m only asking for the Net Renumeration - N150,004.00

Tiyan Alile has received my resignation letter and request to pay my March 2020 salary balance, but she has refused to respond to my e-mail. Okay.

Imagine planning for March salary. Move plans to April. Move plans to May. Move plans to June. Move plans to July. Move plans to August. Move plans to September. We are in September. Enough is enough Abeg.

Trust me, I am tired. I will work like say na my papa company, work from 8am till 12/1am to get to work before 8am on the same day, for someone to not have the decency to communicate at least once a month and say something? Lai Lai. You go pay me.

She did not even have the decency to reply me, till today.

She called us for a meeting at the office, on Monday 7th September 2020. Got there past 9am. She didn’t come to talk to us till about 2 hours after.

2 hours!! She was around oh, but Ofcourse, if we can come, we can wait, right? You can keep us waiting, right?

She didn’t talk for up to an hour. Asked each of us annoying questions like what we have been up to and what our plans are.

I said that I have been resting. When she asked for my plans, I said I plan on resting till 2021 because my health is a priority.

After asking the last person and saying whatever, she “deep sighed” and walked upstairs to her office. The end.

I started rolling my earpiece. Dropped my ID card and the company sim packs that were in my possession and left.

I created a group chat to discuss it with my colleagues. Guess what?! Nobody else wants to speak up and that’s fine.

I want my money!!

I was paid N20,000 in March 2020 and N5,000 in May 2020. Where is the balance of my salary?

When she asked if my colleague was mentally stable. I could not hold back my “Hmmm”. I just could not. I also called Damola like “fammm, Tiyan said some wild stuff but I’m not surprised”

It was on this day, i was like fammmmm. Damola was not feeling well. It was really bad. I advised her to stay home, she still wanted to come. I was like, mama, dey your dey and get well soon. Just tell me what you need me to do - with regards to tasks she had to complete.

Damola. Sorry to drag you into this but lol. Your surname is safe, until people do their detective work. My bad. I’m doing this from a place of love. Lol.

Money was deducted from Damola’s salary. She was HR/Admin officer, who was she supposed to take permission from! It was terrible, she was throwing up, she had a temperature, we did not know what it was. This is a Culinary School & Fine Dining Experience - she HAD to go home

Guess what? Damola & I received information that N5,000 was going to be deducted from our salary. “We were late to a meeting with Tiyan”.

I get that being early to a meeting is key. But I am not the person that has no compassion, that would not hug someone who just lost someone.

You were shouting at us like we broke something?! Easy Tiger.

On her birthday, 27th March (money was being owed, but it was just a week after she told us to get lost, so I wasn’t so triggered yet) - I thought about positive things about her and put it in a message.

If you can avoid her in this life, please do. If not, may God be your guard and guide, your comforter and your ever present help in the time of trouble. Amen.

I had my fair share of underperforming as a result of being overwhelmed, BECAUSE!! But I was never rude (besides stronging my face or having a “I disagree face”) Tiyan go dey give you hot! You will wonder if you’re dreaming. All I will say is “Yes Chef” “Okay Chef” “Sorry Chef”

It was on that faithful day - 1st May 2020. The message Mr. Phillip sent you me,

I read it in her voice, “Can you please call Kitan and get her whereabout address. Go to her house and collect the office phones and chargers from her.”

I was like yoooooo. Shit is real sha.

This is Nigeria & to avoid stories that touch, I still sent her a message to confirm that she sent him. Response:

“Hello Kitan. Please give him the phones and chargers. Thanks. ”

I’m like why couldn’t she message me though? I’m like omoooo, you still get work like this?

When I got that credit in May & I knew it was from her. As per Numa, you have to show home training, I sent her a message to confirm what it’s for.

Her response was “From who?” I responded to her & she didn’t respond but had mind to still ask me for something & I answered her.

Lesson from the money confirmation thing. If Na 1 million mistakenly enter my account, make I no ask what it’s for abi?

This life. Do you really get “a reward” for taking so much?

I was just like, I’d rather confirm than keep quiet.

Do you know the wildest part? A high % of people who have worked with her have mental health challenges. No be curse. It takes a strong will & craze & Fear of God to keep cool. Some people smoke their life to relax. I’m like....e reach to smoke? They will say omooooo & I get it.

I admire her drive, passion, enthusiasm, optimism, work ethic, attention to detail & see it in everything she put her heart and mind to do. She is truly a light & shining star, and while we (prolly only me) all tried to emulate these qualities....

I hope this year continues being a year of possibilities, more wins, more accomplishments, more awards and everything that surpasses her expectations
