Things I do to avoid eating, a thread:
1. I’ll have notifications go off every hour and every lunch break/time I’ll leave school that tell me to not eat junk and stuff. I constantly get reminded to not eat and it really works for me!
2. I chug water like crazy to get a fake feeling of being full. This works especially well after a workout for some reason.
3. I chew gum but we all know this one. I also brush my teeth right after my forced family meals. That way, my brain connects the mint flavor with being finished. So whenever I brush my teeth or chew gum, my brain thinks I’m done eating.
4. I try to keep myself out of the kitchen as much as possible. Out of sight, out of mind.
5. I’ll take naps or exercise whenever I feel hungry. If it’s extremely bad I’ll make some sugar free chocolate milk (milk, cocoa powder and artificial sweetener) and drink that. It fills me up even more.
6. I’ll lie in bed and listen to super loud music on my headphones. That way, it’s too loud for me to be able to think anyway.
