Romulans have the worst costumes and they're the only people who crossed over between TOS and TNG.

I like this episode because the cold open just put up a picture of Spock and expected you to know who that was. Didn't even say his name and he was wearing a disguise.

Spock has not once shown up in this show. Even if I did watch TOS, that was 20 years ago.

I do like how Sarek was on this show so Picard's completely on his side when it comes to dealing with Spock.

Also that Data is Spock but actually unemotional.
