Tips on how to survive this Mars retrograde in Aries squaring Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn in Capricorn:
When Mars the planet of motivation, drive, sexuality, and passion goes retrograde - it appears as though it’s moving backward, and often we deal with the energy of Mars itself receding into ourselves a bit.
For example: You might have a lot of momentum, and then when Mars goes retrograde, you might find yourself feeling sluggish or struggle a bit more to complete tasks you’ve originally sat out to do.
Mars is how we put our best foot forward, how we navigate times that feel challenging and difficult. But when retrograde, we might struggle a bit more to find our way. Now, with other planets squaring Mars –– this is where it can get a bit messy.
Saturn in Capricorn being 90 degrees away from Mars in Aries during this time brings a closer focus on our responsibilities and the things we need to accomplish or do. This can put unnecessary stressors on us as we try to navigate taking time for ourselves vs getting things done.
So what is predetermined based on these transits? Things will inevitably feel more challenging, and feeling more impatient with others and ourselves might be more of a guarantee than anything else coming our way in 2020.
But retrograde energy helps us become more introspective and reflective. If we practice patience, even in situations that really push us beyond our limits –– we can actually come to some really enlightening and useful perspectives on the things that bring us confusion.
So here’s what you shouldn’t do: Cut corners, if anything is going to catch up to you it’s going to happen within these next three months. Karma might be a b*tch, but Saturn is her father.
Be patient with what you want, sometimes forcing ourselves to be objective in situations where we really don’t want to be - can come in handy more than we’d like to admit. But also, pick your battles wisely.
Think of a time you might have had a really bad hangover, and the next day even the sun legitimately p*ssed you off, for shining too brightly. It might feel like this for a while, so how you react to even the smaller things will cause a ripple effect for you.
Keep in mind, everyone else around you is feeling the weight of this energy. Being considerate of others, despite the urgency you might feel to put yourself first will pay off more than you expect it to. On a positive note though, transformative times bring a lot of good things.
But, you can’t welcome growth and new ~blessings~ the universe brings into your life, without getting rid of some trash. This might even equate to dealing with some character flaws you didn’t realize needed changing.
Will the sky legitimately fall because of the Mars retrograde squaring Saturn? No, but will you come out probably with some more solidified understandings of areas in your life you need to work on, yes. So treat this accordingly.
