If you would just listen to your mind and body

They would tell you what is bothering you

In a age where we are connected to the world 24/7 it seems it’s only getting harder to focus on yourself

Turn off your phone sit quietly in a room

Can you focus on your breath?
Chances are, if it’s your first time you’ll have a really hard time focusing

While your thoughts rain in and distract you

“What if......”

Don’t give up as it becomes very easy

After you can focus sometimes I like to meditate on certain things

Last week I meditated on
Letting my past go and acceptance of things I would rather forget

I’ve seen a lot of things be like “confront your fears, let go, you must move on”

With no actual advice to take action on

I always wondered

“How are people moving on? Is there some secret?”
Little did I know it was something that has been practiced for thousands of years

Meditation has truly let me move past and learn lessons from my life

When you can sit there with a painful memory and let it sink in with the desire to move on

You come out alive

Some people
Pay thousands of dollars to ingest a plant that has them travel through the darkest corners of their mind

While this is another way, I feel it’s just not needed

Yes I know it’s hard to just sit there and breath at first

You may even be thinking “that sounds so boring”
Truth is I think that every time I set the intention I want to meditate that day

This is a lesson for everything in life

It’s harder to get started but once you start it’s easy

And you can meditate on literally anything!!!

Wanna accept that you’re going to die one day?

I remember reading somewhere that Bill Gates wishes he would’ve discovered meditating sooner

That he would be miles ahead of where he is

You wanna know what’s the best part?

It’s free
Since it is free I thought I might add

It is going to take a great deal of discipline to keep up with

All too often when we receive gifts, we don’t use them at all

But when we buy something and work hard for it, most times we use it and are grateful for it
I’d like to think of the process as the same way

Meditation can be great and is fully achievable by anyone by themselves

But since it is something that is free

It is most likely taken for granted

Which is why other people pay a great sum for people to teach them how
If you have the will to do anything and keep up with it

You’ll appreciate meditation

Especially because it makes focusing on tasks so much easier

Getting into a state of flow is easier

When I’m working on my music now

I don’t even notice my phone
