Apparently this company is selling tissue cultures for $150 each.
They have made claims that these tissue cultures are better than cuttings in a bunch of silly ways.
My team has been looking at doing this for $20-30.

Here is the article from @StratCann. (To be clear, the issue is with the quotes provided, not the reporting.)
There is some truth in what is said, but it doesn't justify the price, IMO.
There are also some spurious claims. https://stratcann.com/bc-nursery-to-soon-offer-drop-shipping-of-tissue-culture-clones-to-two-regina-retailers/

First, tissue culture is a clone. There are two types. One is made from a cutting and one is made a small piece of leaf material coaxed into growing into a plant using hormones.
Both generally come from a growing (mother) plant.

So when I read:
"He explains...starting material that is much more stable than a traditional cutting from a mother plant"
"because they are from tissue culture, they are much less prone to so-called genetic drift."
I laugh. The opposite may be true: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12010-011-9352-6

Tissue culture is a great way to assure pest-free plantlets. Virus testing is easily done with @ALCannabisLabs.
It is not magic. @ExudetteRootly has made cannabis tissue culture in our kitchen.
This is a good idea, but the misleading hype is absurd, and the price is crazy.

The biggest issues we have had in developing our plan are:
Proper directions for planting. The substrate needs to be washed off, etc.
Pricing competitive with cuttings, = a cap of $30 IMO.
How to calculate volume. Can we sell 4 to the public? Can we sell 200 to an ACMPR PPL?

Maybe it isn't all that viable as a business right now. I don't know.
I don't know who would pay $150 for a fancy clone. Maybe they are out there.
I view TC mainly as a backup storage of genetics, but this idea has merit.
If it is going to fly, we should be honest about it.
