This thread is hard to get through, so to condense it to one point: "abolish the family" doesn't resonate w/ people who are targeted by institutions designed to separate their families, to exploit their caretakers, and to surveil and kill their children. https://twitter.com/jkpuar/status/1303160712567697411?s=19

It's the same reason why working woman imagery and anti-housewife feminism didn't resonate with a lot of early Black feminists. They did not have access to the domestic lifestyle that white women were tired of and rallying against. They always were "working women" (see: slavery)
