Thread on why you should add Seirei no Moribito to you Plan to Watch list:
Seirei no Moribito is an anime from 2007 produced by Production I.G and directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Higashi no Eden...) so the quality of the animation and direction is guaranteed.
It is a simple and easy to watch anime, an adaptation of a children's book that brings the play closer to a more mature audience, with very good action scenes and greater depth in its characters and how it addresses the themes.
On a surface level it reminds me of ATLA, they explore similar themes such as the beauty of life, nature, family, the bonds we form with strangers and the story remains quite simple, without being overdramatic or boring at any point.
The best thing about the series for me is its main character, Balsa Yonsa, a skilful warrior who acts as a bodyguard with her spear to survive, a pragmatic and intelligent character with a strong on-screen presence who quickly became one of my favourite characters.
Very different is the boy to be protected, Chagum, an arrogant and still childish prince whose relationship with Balsa will greatly benefit both of them in discovering facets of themselves that they did not know.
A simple series about personal growth, love of life, nature, which is not very well known in general, and even less so on Twitter so if it catches your attention it would be good to keep an eye on it!
