Hi I'm just here to say if y'all are interested in hxh at all you should read this thread because it's amazingly explained. It actually has opened my eyes a lot in things I never thought about while enjoying the latest of Togashi's creation. The author+ https://twitter.com/KUR0P1KA/status/1303310623862910976
+ has always meant to give LGBT+ representation through his works and he really improved on LGBT+ (especially trans) rep while being a cis man by listening to us and trying hard to give his best. His first vs his latest trans character is a huge change and while I never stopped +
+ to think about how Nanika was in fact a eufemism for Alluka being trans now that I realized it makes so so much sense and I think it's a really hard thing a lot of trans kids can relate to as her parents won't love her BECAUSE of Nanika.

I'm also in the middle of reading +
+ Killua's gay subtext thread that I think y'all should read too but definitely I think this whole thread I quoted does a wonderful job explaining people what they're actually reading and while a lot of LGBT+phobic prople must be really mad rn finding out that they are, indeed, +
+ watching a show with a lot of not only trans but gay, sapphic and even probably genderfluid representation but honestly I think it's amazing. That Togashi has always given rep to the queer community since his beginnings says a lot especially considering that his artwork +
+ is actually quite old, I wouldn't expect him to have this mindset.

Unfortunately for him and all of us there will always be a lot of people completely denying this out of the hate of their hearts but his efforts isn't pointless as having such a good and open rep of the +
+ community especially in young teens will probably spread the message he wanted to.

Hxh is an amazing anime in which LGBT+ rep is nowhere being the main event but IT IS still there and that makes so... Normal I think? Like, normalizing being trans, normalizing being gay, +
+ because IT IS normal. They're teens having tons of adventures and fights and drama and personal character development, and ofc being LGBT+ is a part of their lives but while being important Togashi managed to normalize it so much its not your typical yaoi anime where if you're+
+ gay that's all you are. Not special. Just a person like the rest. And tbh i appreciate that so much. It's noticeable and (in my opinion) a really good rep for queer teens,,,,

I just want everyone to watch hxh AAA

Tysm Togashi for working so hard on this 💞
