When I think of Georgia State University after graduation..
I’ll think of how many sexual predators are in positions of leadership...and how many survivors I’ve talked to who were pushed out of school or are suffering silently...because to GSU, protecting abusers is #1 priority

I’ll think of how I passed the man that assaulted me on the way to class every other day... how my gpa dropped significantly.. how my school therapist didn’t tell me about sorry ass victim’s assistance and insisted on Pinterest memes to help me “heal”... how GSU police

argued with me (hours after being assaulted) about “alcohol consumption” instead of offering me and my friends any medical assistance... how I had to constantly reject sexual advances by a GSU police officer throughout my 4 years ..

I never felt safe. I hate this school and anyone protecting these predators.

Queer Black women, Black Trans men, Gay Black men, cis Black women..... so many stories ... the fact that GSU refuses to do ANYTHING for them and so many students harmed by Professor Michael Simanga as he taught at the school.... Disgusted with admin is an understatement
