Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is a Cuban-American immigrant who was born in Cojimar, Cuba and spent the early years of her childhood moving back and forth from Mexico to Cuba, before finally settling in Miami, Florida at the age of six.
The journey to her current success in life however wasn't easy. Immigrating to the USA meant that she & her family had to start everything over from scratch. Her mother played an important role in this regard. Camila has spoken out about her mother's importance in her upbringing.
Camila and her mother, Sinuhe were Cuban. That's why they were able to move to America. However Camila's father, Alejandro, was Mexican & he had no VISA then, so he had to stay back at Mexico. He couldn't go to America until the next year after Camila and Sinuhe reached Miami.
Camila had social anxiety growing up. She faced problems interacting with new people & making new friends & she faced this problem because she was constantly moving from one place to another. Her parents had said that she felt sad & would often start crying because of her shyness
This is the reason why, her family didn't tell Camila that they were moving to Miami. They told her that her mother was taking her to Disney Land so that she wouldn't feel sad about moving out.
When Sinuhe took Camila over the Border to America, they ONLY had $500 & a backpack with neccessities. After being held at the border for 22 hours they were given a parole. The bus trip to Miami of 36 hours cost $200. They started their new life in Miami with only $300 with them.
Even with all the ordeals, Sinu worked hard to make their lives better. They stayed with a family friend in Miami until Sinu got a job in a department store. Her hardwork is part of the reason why Camila is successful today so I HAD to add these things about Sinu in this thread.
When Camila came to Miami, she wasn't very well versed in English. In the beginning she did face a lot of problems in school communicating with people, but she said she gradually picked up the language by watching some English TV series like F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
Camila's family and her parents said that they had never heard her sing (before her X factor audition) because she was so shy that she never let anyone listen to her singing.
Moving on; At the age of 15, Camila told her parents that she wanted to audition for the North Carolina X Factor instead of celebrating her Quinceañera. Her parents agreed & made it like a trip to the place so that even if Camila didn't get picked, she wouldn't feel sad.
"You know when somebody's really shy, then all of a sudden, they're surrounded by a bunch of strangers and they get to be the person they want to be? That's kind of what happened to me on X-factor" Camila said to Rolling Stone about breaking through her shell of shyness.
Camila changed her public name from 'Karla' to 'Camila' (two characters also represented in her Havana mv) & transformed herself from the girl who used to cry when asked to sing in front of her family to a girl performing confidently for a crowd with over 10,000 to 50,000 people
After initially getting sent home from the X Factor, she was brought back in by Simon Cowell and partnered up with four other girls Dinah, Normani, Ally & Lauren to form the girl group- FIFTH HARMONY.

Because, the group doesn't exist anymore, people think now there's bad blood between them. This is not true because recently Dinah liked one of Camila's posts, Camila congratulated Normani on her VMAs performance, Normani put up a story with the picture of the girls and Camila.
These five girls have grown up with each other over the years and have always supported each other from the start. Just because they have gone for their solo careers now, doesn't automatically mean they hate each other now.
Some people claim that Camila didn't stand up for Normani, her then bandmate, when she was ruthlessly being cyberbullied by stans & troll accounts around 2016 -which is not true because Camila did stand up for her & blocked all of those people who were perpetuating hate!

Camila and Normani were very good friends while in the group. This is a video of Camila reading out a poem she wrote for Normani. Normani also posted a picture of the poem on her socials. This is from around 2013.
After all this time, Normani has nothing but good things to say about Camila. Same goes for the other members and same goes for Camila - she has always said that she's excited for the girls' new music and she wishes all of them the best.
While in the group, Camila used to get hate from "fifth harmony stans"(ot4) who wanted her to leave the group & let only the four girls be in the GROUP. However, in December, 2016, when Camila actually left the group, they started saying- she did it to get "sympathy points"
The hate against her aggravated to an extreme level after she left the group, when people started making xenophobic & deportation jokes about her & her family online. There were videos on Youtube about "Drama beween the girls??", magazine articles about "WHY DID CAMILA LEAVE??"
Nobody was really interested in knowing about the reasons but they were more into feeding the drama. Fifth Harmony put out a statement about Camila's manager "informing" them about her leaving, & claimed that Camila had refused to attend meetings and discussions with the group 
Camila denied all these claims & said that she had discussed about going solo with the girls before. She had made up her mind after her first solo project with Shawn Mendes- I Know What You Did Last Summer. Even Simon Cowell knew Camila's leaving the group wasn't unprecedented
There are also other articles and reports which say that Fifth Harmony's management had given Camila an ultimatum deeming that if she wanted to do solo projects outside of the group, she had to leave the group. And if she wanted to stay in 5H, she couldn't do any solo projects.
There were also other reasons for which Camila wasn't being able to be her authetic self in the group. She had talked about in a magazine article how she felt uncomfortable doing explicit videos (WFH, Worth it) for songs having sexua| undertones but had to " put her foot down "
Camila often used to get slut-shaming comments for going in her solo ventures with collaborators partly because of the kind of image those music videos with sexua| undertones projected to people. She actually still gets slut-shamed to this day. 
She also said that she was denied to release the song 'Closer' with the Chainsmokers (a demo still exists on Youtube) by their label. You'll find a lot more of such things in this thread below. Then there's this VMAs OPENING performance of 5h where they used a stunt double (depicting Camila) and threw them off the stage. For a girl group that apparently stood for "sisterhood", according to me, this was a very unprofessional way of depicting their intentions.
Did their management force them to pull of a stunt like this or were the girls willing to do it, we don't know. But we do know that they said this performance was an "artistic" way of depicting that the 4 of them would be 5H from then on. However a few months later 5H disbanded
When the performance aired, Camila was in her house in Miami watching the awards with her mother. Camila has opened up about her Anxiety & Mental Health issues & these complicated situations always affect her a lot. She uses her social media to spread awareness about how important mental health is & how you need to take care of yourself first and be the most kind to yourself
She has also talked about it directly with the fans on her tour. Here's a video of her speaking about why one should be patient with themselves and be kind and loving to themselves.
Camila recently also posted an IGTV video on instagram talking about how social media has affected her and her anxiety. She shares her views about these things and in a way also helps people hearing it to feel confident and brave!
Camila constantly talks about the importance of meditation on her socials. She has no social media applications on her phone (they are on her mother's phone) but she has this meditation app called the @calm app on her phone. She also did instagram livestreams talking about it
She has always made it a point to portray love and kindness through everything she does. Here are some examples - She partnered with Save the Children, a Fund and Association which envision a world in which every child is safe, protected & has the opportunity to learn new things
She took to the Grammys Stage to speak directly to the Dreamers. Her chart topping 2018 hit - Havana's music video is dedicated to the Dreamers. She also partnered with ACLU and donated all the proceeds from Havana, to help support the Dreamers.
She has been an advocate of the BLM movement since a very long time now and has also done a lot more things. You'll find all of these details on this thread below. Camila has always stood for love and kindness. She always uses her social media to spread love and awareness about how important mental health is. However everyday, even now- she receives horrible xenophobic jokes, de@th threats and slut-shaming comments on social media. 
Haters also use the "kk|<" on her everday on social media even after knowing that she's a latina and an immigrant and that the kk|< also used to target latinos and immigrants in America!

Well tha technically ends the thread. But in this context i would like to put some of my thoughts. You may ignore these next tweets if you don't want to read anymore and don't care about what i have to say personally.
Camila is hated a lot on the internet and its true that there are reasons to hate her, But there's a difference between 'HATE' and 'OBSESSION'. If people are making hate tweets, jokes, commenting about her everywhere 24/7, dragging her for attention - that's called 'obsession'
You're allowed to hate a celebrity. You will never find anyone from the Camilizers fandom going to people and forcing them to love Camila. In the end it depends on YOU whether u love her or not. But that doesn't give u the right to make viral hate tweets about her on the internet
Its very confusing how people claim that they hate her, but contradictory to that- dedicate their time making fake accounts to hate on her, comment, tweet and make insensitive jokes about her which i mentioned above in this thread.
I have since learned that one of the reasons behind this behaviour is what Taylor said in her Artist of the Decade award acceptance speech. I think her point makes it clear so i'm putting the video below - just listen to what she said. (She also mentioned Camila in this speech)
Social Media has become so dreadful to Camila now that she has literally said it directly to us - her fans, that she doesn't like going on twitter & other social applications anymore.
Well that ends my ranting. I may delete my opinions from the last few tweets later I'm relieved that at this point Camila has realised that whatever she does next is with love only and that she is now focused on doing things for herself & not based on what others think bout it
