sad to report this morning that one of the ducks has died overnight. there will be time for mourning but first: justice.

the coroner has just confirmed the cause of duck death is suspicious. the angle of the neck and the fact that the body was absolutely covered in duck prints and also poo makes this crime especially heinous

sources close to the victim say quentin was a young duck full of life. "he could be a little rough around the edges sometimes" says the farmer, "but he was just learning how to duck." the farmer's 2 year old son adds "quack quack"

this is quacklemore. according to insider sources, he is the number one suspect in this case. quacklemore is the only other drake (male duck) in the flock and thereby had the biggest reason to fear quentin's rise in flock popularity

this is cardi beak. she's quacklemore's right wing woman. could she be the masterduck behind this assassination to protect her status as number 2 in charge?

these are jennifer lopegg and selena gomeggs. quentin was their brother. did they grow tired of his constant antics?

these are the mallards: (top to bottom) ruth layer ginsberg, alexandra ocasio corteggs, and angela merk-bill. could this tight-knit trip be capable of plotting against their precocious flockmate?

currently the whole flock is enjoying some garden time. could it have been a collaborative decision? speculating wildly! no one looks very sad to this reporter...

rumours are circling the farm that feral chicken is cooperating with the investigation and has named the culprit! neither the duck-tectives nor feral chicken's representatives have answered our requests for a statement at the time of this posting

one of quentin's sisters speaks out at last! (i am aware my glasses are v crooked; jennifer has excellent comedic timing but was a little inconsolable about the whole being lifted thing)

quacklemore has finally admitted guilt after cardi beak flipped on him. both she and feral chicken are in protective custody for now. quacklemore will spend the next five minutes in duck prison for his crimes (see below)
