Can we stop accepting “young people are having house parties” as gospel? Debates shouldn’t be based on this premise

A. Are more likely to work in customer facing jobs

B. Are more likely to be forced to return to work in light of furlough scheme ending

C. Are more likely to rent/suffer housing precarity

Is it possible we are being blamed disproportionately for house parties Bc people are just more likely to grass on “those darn kids”?

Meanwhile I’ve felt concern about my neighbours (in 50s) going to parties/hosting parties but would never call the polis on them

From what I can see of these raves they look like fairly disparate events organized by people in their 40s & attended by teenagers who are at school mingling anyway - not a systemic/common issue

What about the bloody street parties and the boozy trips to Spain?
