Almost every African leader who was unmovingly focused on the interests of their ppl over western interests was violently removed with the help of western govts and companies. The same is true for other formerly colonized peoples

And yet, so many of y'all including African intellectuals keep repeating this idea that Africans have just simply been unable to govern themselves or leverage their resources (this idea is based in colonial claims that were just to justify the evil that was colonialism btw)

So until you're ready to complicate the conversation about governance on the continent, until you're ready to recognize that us gaining independence didn't mean we gained full and complete sovereignty, you should sit out the conversation. Honestly
