GOALKEEPR

- Khune and Akpeyi > Excellent
- Bvuma > Promising

Verdict: Covered, no need for additions unless one of them wants to leave.
RIGHT BACK

- Frosler > Arguably the best RB in the league.
- Moleko > Excellent defensively, limited offensively. Perfect as a back up.
- Mphahlele > Should be sold.
- Blom > Promising. Should be given more minutes.

Verdict: Covered, could upgrade on Moleko, but not urgent.
LEFT BACK

- Ntiya-Ntiya > Been promising without kicking on. Can't be trusted as a starter. Good as back up or should be sold.
- Sasman > Too limited offensively, and gets into awkward defensive positions. An accident waiting to happen. Suited to LCB than LB. Should be sold.
- Mashiane > Promising. Seems suited to left wing than LB. Should be given more minutes to make definitive conclusion on his best position.
- Zulu > Bought as a LB, but never plays there. A waste of a spot. Should be sold.

Verdict: Poverty. Too many options, but no quality. BUY!
We should look to bring in two LBs who will be competing for a starting spot. The deadwood must be shipped out.
CENTRE BACK

- Mathoho > Secure in a 4 man defense, vulnerable in a 3 man defense. A starter.
- Cardoso > The best CB in the team. Recovered brilliantly in 2019/20 after a horror 2018/19. A starter.
- Ngezana > Promising. Makes too many rash decisions and can be error prone.
Verdict: The starters are good enough, but not enough cover on the bench. Ngezana the only natural replacement CB. Sasman, Mphahlele and Blom can deputise, but not good enough.

We should look to bring in a CB good enough to challenge Mathoho and Cardoso for a starting place.
DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD

- Katsande > Proved his value in the team. No longer a guaranteed starter. Should be kept as back up with his experience.
- Akumu > Should become the starting DM in the new season. Calm on the ball, and strong in the tackle.
- Blom > Can cover the position.
Verdict: Covered. No need for additions. Blom could be given a bigger role in the position.
CENTRAL MIDFIELD

- Baccus > As good as anyone in the league in controlling the tempo of a game. Lost his confidence because of lack of game time. Should be a starter.
- Thibedi > Had an excellent season at Swallows and should be part of the first team. Should get good minutes.
Verdict: We need an experienced CM to give us depth and also challenge Baccus for a starting place.
ATTACKING MIDFIELD

- Manyama > Faded badly in the 2nd round. Didn't seem to be 100%. Needs to be challenged as a starter.
- Ntshangase > More suited to CM, but lacks the defensive work ethic. Not enough end product as AM. Should be sold.
- Ngcobo > Promising. Should play more.
Verdict: We should add an experienced AM to challenge Manyama.
LEFT WING

- Billiat > Should be a starter, but didn't seem interested most of last season. Should be given a chance to rediscover his form under a new coach.
- Parker > Offers nothing except graft, with no end product. Should be sold.

Verdict: Poor. We need at least one top LW.
RIGHT WING
- Zuma > Make or break season for him. Should be given an extended run as a starter.
- Kambole > Does a respectable job at RW, but it's not his natural position. He should be backup there.

Verdict: Should be looking to sign a RW who can offer end product.
CENTRE FORWARD

- Nurković > Best CF in the league.
- Castro > Great back up and partner in a starting team for Samir. Misses too many games through injury. Might be time to move on from him.
- Sifama > Promising. Needs to be managed carefully and be given enough minutes.
Verdict: If we move on from Castro, get an established CF to play alongside and deputise for Nurković. Kambole should also get minutes at CF.
Overall verdict:
LB is an urgent position that needs to be addressed.
CM could also be upgraded with someone who offers something different to Baccus.
We need an AM and at least a RW. LW to challenge Billiat should be brought in. Deadwood should be sold. Promote more MDC players.
