I have a couple of friends (I’m not gonna put that in quote marks or distance myself here) who in the last couple of years have recommended the Sam Harris podcast. I guess I thought that the original Sam Harris material would be subtler and more sophisticated, but apparently that’s not the case.

Those friends I mentioned both claim “not to read books” and also have copies of the Jordan Peterson manual.

But this thread isn’t really going anywhere. I’m not going to disown these friends. These are pleasant, fairly open-minded people (with their own black, Asian, and/or Middle Eastern friends). Like I say, I call them on this shit when it comes up. This is insidious stuff
