The interesting thing about house job so far is that I feel very useless (since we work at the whim of in service doctors) and yet simultaneously without the seemingly useless work we do all hell would break loose on the floor.

Week Seven of Housejob (it feels like seven months honestly) and this week I have lost 2 pens despite visibly marking them as mine, what about you #housejobdiaries

Week Nine of Housejob: I have successfully snuck out scrubs from one OT to wear to another OT and no one could tell because #abayagang

The only thing that keeps me going during calls and post call is the thought of going to bed at 6pm.

Week 15 of Housejob: the more I try to be efficient and on top of what’s going on in my ward, the more random work people pile on me because I seem reliable and approachable.

Counterproductive. Will start decreasing efficiency levels now.

Week 16 continues: I’m too stupid to be a physicians assistant in an OPD. Or at least, that’s what I’m assuming my job description is (physicians assistant) when I get shunted there.

I have discovered that whatsapp has updated the “mute for 1 year” option to “mute always” when I muted the official HJ group because everyone can’t stop constantly texting ‘get well soon’, this is why I miss a lot of messages: all my groups inevitably get muted.

I've lost count of which week we're in. would it be adequate to start counting backward to zero now? probably not. hold on, I will count and resume regularly scheduled program updates in a moment.

I got put into a new ward and I like this one purely because its got windows and there's natural light at the nursing station, why can't the rest of the hospital be designed like this.

Todays drama: the resident who chewed me out yesterday about saying "I don't know" to her nitpicky questions gets chewed out by the consultant for prescribing something she didn't know anything about.

In regards to pens: one of my tagged pens has migrated to the endoscopy room of the gastro clinic and can be found rotating between the various gastro residents. At this point, they can keep it tbh.
