#Lithuania is in #EU, #Belarus is not - so all the legal papers are incompatible, BY banks do not support SEPA (and SWIFT support is creepy).

Basically means you're opening a totally new company with a with totally new legal base and start operations from scratch.

Now your staff. How do they enter #EU? Regular tourist visas are limited in many ways and one cannot legally work with a tourist visa. So #Lithuania issues special visas and work permits for employees and their families.

Back to legalese. How do you open a company in a EU country? Well, you go, register and get a company bank acc for operations. Except folks from #Belarus don't have a national id, a personal LT bank acc and are subjects to MYRIADS of checks to prevent money laundering, etc, etc.

Oh, it is corona. Upon entering #Lithuania from #Belarus you have to self-quarantine. Except you cannot because you need to open a business and you cannot do it remotely (like locals do), bc you don't have a national id and cannot sign digitally... Meaning you have to run around.

So now back to the top of this thread: days and even weeks is a super short timeframe. It is legal, political and logistical magic that is happening.
