Morning! Calling UK and US theatre lovers. Despite efforts going into reviving live performance, theatre workers are still in limbo. Please listen to this. 80+ transatlantic choir, members of @britymt Share, like, donate. Story to follow... via @YouTube
This started as a small project to give ex members of BYMT something to focus on during lockdown. it grew exponentially when professional performers here and in the US responded to a call to lend their voices to support these young people at the start of their journey. We were..
overwhelmed and humbled by the support. The choir includes West End performers, Grammy award winners and top flight session recording singers. We're releasing the song today to help raise awareness of, & funds towards, the financial cliff edge facing workers in the UK and the US
The charities are: In the UK The Theatre Artists Fund - donation link here http://theatreartists.enthuse.com  set up to provide emergency support for theatre workers and freelancers across the UK. It is for theatre professionals in need of urgent and critical financial support.
In the US MusiCares - funding link here http://grammy.com  "COVID -19 has devastated our music community, leaving thousands of music creators with an uncertain future. We are here to help."
And BYMT Access to the Arts Campaign - link here http://britishyouthmusictheatre.enthuse.com  a charity that maintains a pipeline of talent for the industry and improves access for underrepresented groups., offering free/subsidised auditions and bursaries to enable young people from low income =>
households to take part in BYMT theatre productions and summer camps. Without them, this project wouldn't have existed. Please help, share, donate if you can.
And if you need assistance form any of these charities, please apply, they are there for you.
