thread of why seven is about two female children in love with each other:
let’s start with why it’s about a female:

so these are gonna be stereotyping, just a warning, but please go along with it
first we have “your braids like a pattern” which sounds a lot like it’d be about a little girl

that along with “pack your dolls” ik anyone can play with dolls but these two lyrics together make me think it’s about a female
next up i’ll quote some references to her love for her:

“i still got love for you”

“love you to the moon and to saturn”

“the love lasts so long”
and yes if they’re seven it’d be more of a friendship love, however it sounds like a deep enough love to go further even if they don’t fully know what their feelings mean
and then there are the gay coded, secrecy lines:

“cross your heart won’t tell no other”

this shows some sort of secrecy-is the love the secret? cuz friendship love wouldn’t be kept secret
“i think your should come live with me”

uhaul lesbianssss

“then you won’t have to cry
or hide in the closet”

HIDE IN THE CLOSET

this...taylor knew what she was writing when she wrote this line,,,taylor is very thorough when it comes to writing, and that line says something
so those are the main lyrics that jump out at me, but when you look at the entire song as a metaphor for being lgbtq+ as a child some other lines take new meanings such as

“i was too scared to jump in” and “before i learned civility”
however i will not being going into this more in depth because this thread is long enough already, take from it what you will :)
