We all know POTUS’s stance on Snowden in the past. “Vitriolic” would be an understatement ... anyways ..

These all seem to be pointing towards Snowden being offered a deal. To me “sleep is important” comes off as “sleep on it”.
In 905, we see confirmation that Snowden replied. And “smartly”, at that. A few drops later, we now see Snowden *being thanked*. Up until this, the verbiage toward him had been hostile.
