// (TW: rape mention, Nazi mention, pedophilia mention)
A certain rule has come to mind due to discussions with mutuals. Lately, that rule seems to have been forgotten or overlooked.
The rule in question is "The mun is not the muse. Their actions aren& #39;t mine."

For anyone unfamiliar with the phrase, it& #39;s essentially a disclaimer that denotes the line of separation between the character (muse) and the writer (mun), & has two points:
1) Nothing that happens between two muses in-character reflects how one mun feels about another mun

2) Just because a muse does or has done something does not mean that the mun agrees with or condones it. This also applies to specific ideals.
Okay, so that& #39;s it. The writer is not the character, and any actions or beliefs of the character are not
As for the discussions that I mentioned at the start of the thread, people brought up instances from the JoJo RP community regarding specific characters:
1) People chasing off Joseph Joestar
2) A friend making their Stroheim account private because other Stroheims had been chased off due to the character& #39;s Nazi affiliation.
Obviously, cheating on your partner and being a Nazi are on different levels of awful, but they
With that said, I feel that harrassing and chasing someone off of a platform for a character they choose to write is a little overkill when most platforms give you the ability to block, mute and report any
Speaking of "objectionable content", there is definitely a lot of content that
For some examples, there& #39;s rape, shota and loli accounts (more or less pedophilia) and the cheating and Nazis that were previously mentioned in this thread.
I would not want to write any scenarios that
With all that being said, and this might sound strange; I& #39;m not going to /attack/ people for stuff that& #39;s in-character.
If I find out that someone& #39;s being a piece of shit out-of-character, that& #39;s a different story of its
If it& #39;s something like a shota/loli/underaged lewd account, a rape or cheating/NTR-focused account or an account based on a real person, I& #39;m more than likely going to just block them and move on with my day.
At the end of
We let potential partners know of things on our accounts like "Hey, there& #39;s some stuff on here you might not
Plus, going after people for problematic aspects of their muses sounds like it would
Then again, I& #39;m moreso about just trying to mind my business and be chill so maybe that& #39;s just me wanting to avoid pointless drama.
I feel like I& #39;ve been
1) Muses and muns are separate entities
2) If something about someone& #39;s muse bothers you, you can block or mute their account. Or report it if the content violates ToS.
3) Call-outs should only be made for OOC shittyness.
