What a lot of people dont realise is that the most important resource in this pandemic.. is the human resource.
Doctors, nurses, porters, janitors, pca's.
Coulda have 2 million ventilators, wouldn't do much good without staff and somewhere to put them

People think ventilators are some magic boxes that can cure people. There is SIGNIFICANT risk when you Intubate a patient , and when you actually have them on the vent.
The longer they stay on it , the less likely they are to come off alive

Also ICU teams EVERYWHERE are stretched thin with the few dollops of icu space and vents we have.
Where you gonna take these doctors from to man these extra vents ?

Long story short. Stay home and wash your hands. Manage your exposures the best you can.
From dirt we came , and to dirt all of us can return.
