sea creatures are absolutely terrifying and thats why i love them. heres a thread of my personal favourites :

1. Goblin shark
this shark lives in the depths of the deep ocean and is very rare. not only that, its absolutely terrifying with rubber pale skin and razor sharp fangs. its lineage dates back to almost 125 million years old!

2. Deep sea Dragonfish
also known as the stomiidae, this deep sea creature does get very long, only 15-25 cm. however this fish has ENORMOUS jaws and can swallow so many things whole. not to mention its a hell spawn

3. Barreleye
this fish, as you can see has a completely translucent head. their eyes are also to the front of their head too. this one actually creeps me out, as its face looks sorta human to me, or its just uncanny

4. gulper eel
this one, like the dragonfish also has a big mouth. and i mean BIG. at least it gives big smiles. they're also called the pelican eel, pretty fitting. anyways they grow up to 6 feet and could probably eat you. its diet consists of crustaceans

5. deep sea hatchetfish
ok im gonna be honest with you this one scares the absolute shit out of me. stop looking at me with those big ol eyes. some can reach 6 inches, and only have a 1 year lifespan

6. Frilled Shark
OK if you know me you know i absolutely love sharks. frilled sharks are one of my favorites. for the longest time people thought they were extinct and then suddenly one popped out of nowhere. i think theyre neat.
