1) What started as a joke post one and a half days ago has gathered such traction that I'm compelled to address it seriously. https://twitter.com/Hardwood_/status/1302547782822174720
Here goes:
2) The SUSHI community is currently voting on the 9 candidates, selected from a list of Twitter nominees, who will be entrusted with the multi-sig keys to SUSHI. The way that multi-sig works is that proposals are passed after a vote gets 6 of the 9 signatures.
3) It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge that the current situation is a fiasco. Nomi has cashed out his share in the project and left the rest up to Sam.
4) Why did this happen? Was it orchestrated? What were the intentions of all parties involved? We can speculate as much as we want, but none of that matters right now.
5) SUSHI was built to be a community-forked version of Uniswap, with fairer distribution. SUSHI has the potential to be the next step in decentralized finance.
6) In true decentralized fashion, Sam allowed Twitter users to decide the list of candidates for SUSHI multi-sig ownership, the mad lad. What we are voting on right now, what's at stake, is the future of SUSHI, and by extension, the future of DeFi.
7) With 6 of 9 signatures, holders will pass proposals on what to do with your money.

If it came to it, if we were nasty enough, if we were greedy enough, key holders could take it all.
8) As a voter, the first step you should take is to research your candidate carefully and make sure you aren't voting for a bad egg. how do you know if someone is a bad egg or a good egg?
9) You can't be totally sure of what someone will or won't do, until he does or doesn't do it. But the least you can do is look at what he has done and what he has said.
10) Many of the listed candidates have strong reputations. but nomi showed us that even a strong reputation has its price. When so much money is at stake, even a good person can get dollar signs in his eyes.
11) Vote not for reputation, but for character. Who on the list would you trust not to snatch your money away from under your nose?
12) I have to caution against voting for people who are likely to be in league with each other. As a community we need to remove or reduce the possibility for collusion as much as possible.
13) If 6 of the 9 holders are friends and talk regularly, what's to stop them from one day waking up and deciding to abscond to Antarctica with the funds?
14) Even if we weren't nasty, what if someone else woke up one day and decided to be nasty?
~200M is a lot of money, let's not kid around.
How much would it cost to capture or eliminate any single one key holder?
What are the incentives for doing so?
15) There is so much money flowing around in "DeFi" right now. Is that money clean money, or is some of it black money? If so, how much of it is black money?
16) Let me make my own intentions clear. I'm not pointing any fingers here. All i'm saying is that this is a heavy responsibility that each of the 9 key holders have volunteered to take on.
17) The crown is heavy, so we had to split it between 9 Chosen Ones. But it is heavy for even these nine, no matter how virtuous or resourceful they may be.
18) More than that, SUSHI was not created to be a enneacracy. SUSHI belongs to the community. As a community, we need to take ownership. This was nomi's vision, and it's what keeps us together in this time.
19) I do not own any SUSHI, nor have I ever owned any SUSHI. For what it's worth, I am not trying to get you to pump or buy my bags. Whether you believe any of what i've said is up to you.
20) I bought votes. I bought exactly 600 votes, and around 3000 of the rest were probably bought by people who wanted to support me. I intended my submission initially as a criticism of Sam's decision to hold the candidacy vote on Twitter but that's past now. This has become more
21) Think carefully. Do your research. Vote not for who you like, but for who you trust not to take your money. As a candidate, this is all I ask.

22) I'm gay.
