We need to talk about Fatima and fascism.

Also apparently there were similar apparitions all over Portugal at the time. Hoaxes? Real mystical visions? Altered consciousness experiences?
Whatever the case, the government apparently repressed those while using Fatima as a political tool.

The rhetoric of "Mary" at Fatima is authoritarian, oppressive, fixated on purity, an "offended" God - DO NOT RESONATE with the gospels but sure do seem convenient for a fascist regime.
